I am Ciqiong, a technology practitioner based in Lijiang, China. I build software, work with servers and networks, and teach. I am also a father and a musician by training: I started learning piano at eight and a half and graduated from the music department of Yunnan University.
This studio brings those parts of my life together. You will find tools and technical notes, thoughts about education, and stories about the city where we live. Music and video are part of the creative direction; completed works will be published alongside their making process.
Practical technology for small cities
My long-term aim is to explore affordable technology foundations and operating practices for small cities like Lijiang. The question is practical: can local people deploy a useful system, maintain it, understand its costs, and keep their data when they leave?
Current areas include IoT, data platforms, visual algorithm research, education and eldercare. They have different levels of progress. They are not presented here as one finished, fully integrated smart-city platform.

Working together
I can discuss website and server deployment, migration, maintenance, and focused improvements to an existing workflow. We start by identifying the problem, the current environment and one result that can be checked. Software licences, hosting costs, support hours and delivery scope are agreed for the specific engagement.
For international partners, I am interested in exchanging practical methods and working with people who understand their own local context. Availability, time zones, delivery and purchasing arrangements need to be confirmed for each engagement; this page does not imply worldwide checkout or round-the-clock support.

A little of Lijiang
My family runs 88 Hao, a local snack shop established in 1984. I also participate in running Shikou Yunji's café and snack business. Food, music, teaching and conversations are part of what I want to share here.
